Beyond signals, seats and posters I feel like Water Cranes are also a fairly ignored are of railway modelling. Brighton Trafalgar will require at least two, if not three cranes to supply P1 and P2/3, as well as one on the pilot loco siding.
The LBSCR standardised initially on a ball-weight crane as shown in the photo below:

These bear a close resemblance to the Knightwing kit, which I understand represents an LNER Design:
The more common type, dated from the 1880’s onwards is the fluted column type, shown here:

The arm is straight in the standard/original LBSC form, and would gain a cranked extension during the SR/BR era (date TBC).
Models
Mike’s Models produce whitemetal cast versions of both varieties, though they are now long out of production, as is the Knightwing B34 version of the earlier variety, seen below:

5and9 Models produced platform-based versions of the fluted column type and I am lucky enough to get some New Old Stock from Chris there, though they are also no longer in production.
