ScaleFour South (Uckfield Model Railway Show)

uckfield Model Railway show was this weekend – one of the two events I wanted to attend this year, both of which happened in the same week.

By the door was a cute little layout depicting the sidings ahead of Richborough ferry – just a little cameo. I think it suffered from warm lighting and a very low backscene – but it was otherwise really well executed.

Ley Hill is a lovely 2mmFS cameo on quite a short board – I didn’t see anything moving but the stock had changed positions between my visits.

Callaton is a well known 2mmFS cameo and looked great, with wonderful sound-equipped DMU’s and locos:

The absolute star of the show IMO was Flintfield, a huge 4mm layout depicting a rather dinky GER branch line terminus.
