Interlocking

The NER bought a number of ex-WD ‘Warflat’ tank transporters – these were used for both flat loads and converted to quad-bolster bogie wagons and absorbed into the LNER after grouping.

This wagon is as usual obtained from G1-3D. This is an older wagon print in PLA, so I do not have too much optimism for its long term survival – but it looks well enough in LNER guise. I had planned to paint the obverse of each wagon as BR, but I think I’m going to do it in pre-group instead – so NER it will be.

I printed a Whippet to load onto the wagon – I know strictly speaking a) it would have been sheeted and b) anything freshly built was painted grey – but it’s my wagon. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5871503 (Printed at 290% to get a rough 1/32 scale)

There are a few small details to finish such as ropes, rings and the NER markings – but I’m largely happy with how this has come out!
