Sunny South Express

One of the signature cross-region trains which ran in the Edwardian period was the Sunny South Special/Express which ran from points north to Brighton via Addison Road.

While not quote as prestigious as the Irish Mail, the Sunny South Express would justify modern bogie coaches.

Bachmann have recently announced a set of RTR coaches in LNWR plum and spilt milk which can form the backbone of the Sunny South Express in due course, but as they are not due until sometime in 2026 – I have more than enough time to fettle the rake of Ratio carriages I bought secondhand on eBay:
