LNWR Precursor

The LNWR precursor-class traded off the haulage of the Sunny South special from Rugby to Brighton with an LBSCR I3.

My first attempt at a prototypical locomotive for this service was in obtaining a kit-build Precursor, but the running qualities were so bad, it had to be sent back for a refund:

LMS No. 25297, ex LNWR No. 643 “Scirocco” as recieved

My expectation is to find either a GEM or Brassmasters kit for this loco on eBay soon enough, and will strip and paint up as No. 7 Titan, see below for a newspaper article describing the alternate motive power on the train and a shot of Titan at Brighton:
